Trash it Don't flush it!

The following are tems are incompatible with your sanitation system. They should be put in your trash:

  • Paper Towels: Paper towels do not disintegrate the way toilet paper does when wet.
  • Baby wipes, disinfecting wipes, and so-called "flushable" or "bio-degradable" wipes are all detrimental to the wastewater collection system. These items can get hung up on pump impellers or combine with fats, oil and grease (FOG) to form large balls that block pipes.
  • Facial tissues: such as Kleenex, Puffs, etc.
  • Sponges, rags and towels
  • Feminine products
  • Diapers
  • Cotton swabs, cotton balls: These do not disintegrate when wet the way toilet paper does.
